From bold, exotic blooms to gossamer-light petals, bring the botanical world inside with floral prints and patterns. Whether it’s a trailing stem strung across a single wall or blown-up macro imagery, flowers can take on a number of different looks simply by playing with the scale and colour.
Dominic Crinson has been working with digital imagery for the past decade, producing tiles and wallpaper featuring abstract imagery in a kaleidoscope of colours. His Fleur collection of photographic wall and floor tiles comes in four sizes, from 10x10cm to 20x20cm. Each of the images can be used on an individual tile or enlarged to create tiled murals that run over a number of tiles.
Vitruvit’s Scalene and Shelf basins feature images of orchids, roses and calla lilies that are fired into the glaze. Designed to be counter-mounted, the Scalene basin will add a dash of colour to an all-white space.
Italian tile manufacturer Viva Ceramica offers a number of floral collections including Black Flowers – a collaborative project between photographer Massimo Gardone and Patrizia Moroso, creative director of the Italian furniture company Moroso. Large-format tiles in two sizes: 50x50cm or 100x100cm, feature Gardone’s black and white images of petals and florets, which burst open across walls – perfect for adding some impact to a modern bathroom.
